East Troy Electric Railroad

The day begins with a pleasant motor coach ride to East Troy just about 40 southeast of Milwaukee.  There we will explore the Electric Railroad Museum, which chronicles the rise and fall of the Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company.

After exploring the Museum we will hop aboard the train for a 20-minute ride to nearby Mukwonago and the Elegant Farmer.  This farm stand boasts a restaurant, fresh produce and the Brown Paper Bag fruit pies.  Return to East Troy to explore this quaint city a bit more before boarding our return transfer to Milwaukee.

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum

Bring the kids for a fun and educational experience at Betty Brinn’s Museum.  Voted one of the top 10 museums for children by Parents Magazine, the museum is geared toward children under 10 and has the philosophy that constructive play nurtures the mind.  Filled with hands-on exhibits and interactive programs, the museum offers families a chance to learn together.

Milwaukee County Zoo

Adults, kids and families will all look forward to a day at the Milwaukee County Zoo.  With each exhibit separated only by hidden moats predators and their prey seem to live side by side in natural environments.  Summer months bring a variety of special animal exhibits that are both entertaining and educational.  The zoo is filled with special attractions and activities to keep the children excited the whole day including camel and pony rides, the Stackner Heritage Farm with its petting zoo and interactive exhibits.  The kids will even have the opportunity to “unlock” information about the animals with their ZooKeys.  Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely ride aboard the Zoofari Express or in the ZooMobile.

Clown Hall of Fame

The silly side in everyone will love to visit the Clown Hall of Fame and learn about famous clowns of the past and present.  See clown memorabilia and historic artifacts including tiny bikes, noisy horns and big bowties.  The Clown Hall of Fame also includes exhibits of comedy greats like Red Skelton, Lou Jacobs and Emit Kelly, Sr.

Lambeau Field – Packer Hall of Fame

2 hours north of Milwaukee lies the Mecca of Professional Football.  The ghosts of Packers past are everywhere and the presence of Vince Lombardi is all about you. 

The glory years are alive at the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame.  It is the first sports museum dedicated to a single NFL team.  Interactive exhibits designed to entertain all ages tell of the tradition and glory of America’s favorite team.  View replicas of the trophies, (Super Bowls I & II and XXXI).  Enjoy the Touchdown Highlights Theatre.  Shop for that special Packer item and the Hall of Fame store.

During your tour of the stadium you will get to walk through the tunnel onto Lambeau Field.

Museum Center

All under one roof, the three unique attractions of Milwaukee’s Museum Center offer visitors thousands of extraordinary and educational experiences.  The Milwaukee Public Museum is considered one of the best natural history museums in the world.  It has spectacular exhibits, including the award winning Rain Forest.  Journey back in time as you stroll through the Streets of Old Milwaukee or see the world’s largest recovered dinosaur skull.  The museum also offers an array of interactive and educational exhibits.

Discovery World offers visitors more than 140 exhibits, educational workshops and theater productions that bring learning to an interactive level.  Fly a secret space mission through Area 51, lift a building in Milwaukee Muscle, and experience 10,000,000 volts of electricity in Electro – A Show of Electricity.

Finally immerse yourself in a world of panoramic images at Wisconsin’s only IMAX Dome Theater.  This 275-seat theater boasts a movie screen that is over 6 stories high and 74 feet in diameter.  Digital surround sound makes for crystal clear audio.
